ACS SU

ACS SU is a computer hardware and software solutions provider operating out of a head office in Bath with a number of offices in the south west of England. They required a complete re-design of their corporate identity, including logo design, stationery design, folder, newsletter and product literature design.

Logotype & stationery

We based their logo design on the abstracted form of a computer monitor, and pulled in the active curved form and arrow from their previous logo to keep an identifying feature from their previous branding. As the company is a partnership between two firms ACS (Accountancy and Computing Solutions) and SU (Support U) we reflected the split nature of their service offerings, accountancy software solutions and computer hardware support, by colouring the ACS and SU lettering separately. The ACS lettering being related to software and more active components being coloured orange as this is an active colour, the SU being related to hardware support being in a more static blue.

The abstract monitor design was then pulled through into their stationery design as a watermark in their letterhead, continuation paper and compliments slip. It was also used in conjunction with the brand slogan on the reverse of their business card. The letterhead itself combines their clean style but also accommodates the contact information of both companies as well as their business partners’ logos.

Newsletter, Product Literature & Folder Design

The simple clean blue and orange branding balanced with white space was used to create a graphically strong and lively newsletter template which we supplied in both printed form and PDF to allow them to e-mail copies to their clients. It was also used to create a generic product sheet, printed as a blank template to allow them to add content from their office to send to clients. We also created a folder design for them to supply their product and services sheets in so that they can select a few and send them out presented with a cover letter.

Magazine Advertising Design

Their magazine advertising design is based upon the structure of the fire triangle, the fire triangle shows all the elements that you need to create fire. In a similar way the ACS SU computing triangle shows the elements you need to create a complete computing service in a three sided triangle, software, hardware and computing services.
