CREEKSIDE NETWORKS extends IPSec Key Management Capabilities with NEW nps IKEv2 ENGINE

Ft. Myers, Fla. (September 23, 2003) – Creekside Networks, Inc., a technology leader in portable network protocols, announced today that it has begun shipping a powerful new member of its Network Protocol Source line to customers around the world. Headquartered in Fort Myers, Florida, CreekSide Networks Inc. was founded in 2001 by the former principals of phase2 networks Inc.

Targeted at VPN clients and servers, PPVPN equipment vendors, and vendors needing to secure routing traffic, npsIKEv2 is a high-performance implementation of the state of the art Version 2 of the Internet Key Exchange standard. Compared to Version 1, the IKEv2 protocol simplifies security administration, enhances interoperability by eliminating the need for proprietary extensions, adds support for per-user authentication, closes security loopholes and enables new applications such as PPVPNs and QOS.

Gary Randall, president of Creekside Networks stated, “At Creekside we understand that there is much more to a protocol than implementing an industry standard. All nps components are designed to the same high standard based on decades of experience developing portable protocols.”
