Secrets Shhh Jewellers

Secrets Jewellers sell jewellery from their store in Sloane Square, London and branches worldwide. Although they already had a well established brand they were keen to move their design work forward to be more in keeping with other design based businesses around Sloane Square. Over the last year we have slowly developed their brand style to be cleaner and more contemporary, moving from their original brand colours of black and jade green towards platinum and white.

Brochure Design

Secrets latest brochure was designed to be simple and clean, putting an emphasis on their jewellery rather than an over complex design which could have taken away from its visual impact. The brochure itself is a ‘fan fold’ construction which is more cost effective to print than conventional book style brochure and folds out to convey the feeling of looking at a gallery of images, rather than products. This helps emphasise the quality of the jewellery and its design.

Tube & Magazine Advertisement Design

To help increase custom, Secrets have embarked on a series of tube advertisements to be shown on the way up the escalators at Sloane Square tube station. The first of these follows the clean, striking style of their brochure design, using a platinum coloured border surrounding white space and an image presented as it were being viewed in a gallery. Copy on the advertisement is minimal allowing it to be interpreted quickly as tube users pass by. It merely conveys the price of the jewellery to emphasise its affordability and shows their address within the Square.

Also running in conjunction with the tube ad are a series of magazine advertisements in major publications such as Vogue. Unfortunately it is not possible to print a silver colour to represent platinum within a magazine, the process that magazines are printed by would mean that silver would be printed as grey. Therefore a slightly different design is used, employing clean white space and the use of a light pink border. This picks out the colour of the pink ring currently being shown in the ads and is a colour that is currently in vogue this season.
